A wonderful, hand-engraved, Victorian-era memorial locket, modeled in 14k rose gold. This old darling is decorated with a nautical anchor and a banner (which hangs fromthe anchor's eye). Fascinating, fine, swirling formspopulate the fieldaround our anchor, and adelicate dimpled texture fills the negative space behind it.The locket's reverse is inscribed: MMW, died April 25th, 1874. This can hold two photos, and it is complete its original photo rings and glazing. An arrangement of flowers rests beneath one of glazed panels, on amother of pearl background. Traditionally the anchor is symbolic of hope. Thislocket hits all the right notes, and it'sa great size for daily wear. Opens easily and closes with a satisfying snap.
